Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the TinyFolder application and the tinyfolder.app website (together, the "Service"), provided by Sergei Filkov, a sole proprietor established in the country of Georgia ("TinyFolder", "we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using TinyFolder, or by purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

TinyFolder is a macOS application that lets you create customizable app folders and pin them to your Dock.

TinyFolder comes in two editions. The website edition, TinyFolder Studio, is downloaded from tinyfolder.app and unlocked with a license key. The App Store edition is downloaded from the Mac App Store, is free to use with a four-app folder in one built-in style, and offers paid levels bought inside the app. They are separate applications: a purchase in one does not carry over to the other, and neither can read the other's purchases.

TinyFolder Studio has a free version with one folder in the Dock, up to four apps and the grey look. TinyFolder Studio Pro unlocks all features. Pro and style packs are described in section 3.

2. License

Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use TinyFolder on the Macs covered by your license, which you own or control, for your personal or internal business use.

TinyFolder Studio Pro is sold as a one-time Lifetime license or as a Yearly subscription. Your license is tied to you and covers one Mac, which you activate using your email address and the key. To move it to another Mac, unlink it in the app on the old one first. Licenses bought before 22 October 2026 keep the two Macs they were sold with. You agree not to share, resell, sublicense, or distribute your license key. This applies to the website edition only.

The App Store edition has no license key and nothing to activate. Your use of it is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement together with these Terms; where the two disagree, Apple's agreement prevails.

3. TinyFolder Studio Plans

This section covers the website edition.

Lifetime

Lifetime is a one-time purchase and covers one Mac. It includes every style pack, now and in the future.

Yearly subscription

Yearly is a subscription for one Mac. It renews automatically every year at the then-current price until you cancel it.

You can cancel at any time at tinyfolder.app/manage (with your email and license key), or with the "Manage subscription" link in your payment receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Pro keeps working until the end of the year you paid for.

If a renewal payment fails, the payment provider retries it for a while. Pro keeps working during that time.

When the paid period ends, your folders return to the free look. They come back when you renew Pro with the same key.

You can upgrade from Yearly to Lifetime with the same key. The upgrade stops the yearly renewal.

The upgrade costs the full Lifetime price.

Style packs

Atmosphere, Cosmic and Textures are style packs. Each pack is a one-time purchase. A pack needs active Pro and is attached to your license key. Lifetime already includes every pack.

4. Restrictions

You agree not to: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass the licensing, activation, or payment systems; (c) resell, rent, or redistribute the Service or license keys; or (d) use the Service unlawfully or to infringe the rights of others.

5. Purchases, Pricing, and Payment

Payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record. From 25 October 2026 this is Dodo Payments. Purchases made before then, and renewals of subscriptions started before then, are with Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates). Your receipt names which one. When you buy a license, a subscription, or a style pack, your transaction is with that Merchant of Record, and its buyer terms apply in addition to these Terms. It handles billing, payment, invoices, and applicable taxes, and is responsible for tax collection and remittance.

The checkout shows the full price, including any tax, before you pay. Prices may change at any time. A change does not affect purchases already completed. A new Yearly price applies from your next renewal.

Purchases made inside the App Store edition are sold by Apple, not by us: the yearly subscription, the one-time Lifetime purchase, and individual style packs. Your transaction is with Apple and Apple's terms apply. The yearly subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, and you can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings. Prices for that edition are set per country by the App Store and are shown in the app before you buy.

6. Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee: if you're not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and the refund terms of the Merchant of Record for your purchase. This guarantee covers purchases made on tinyfolder.app – Lifetime, style packs and every Yearly payment. For Yearly, the 7 days are counted from each payment, including renewals.

Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple under Apple's own policy. We cannot issue refunds for them; requests go to Apple.

7. Updates

We may release updates and may add, change, or remove features over time. Some features may depend on your operating system version. A Lifetime Pro license includes the version you purchased and future updates we make available for it; we do not guarantee perpetual updates.

Yearly includes every update we release while it is active.

Updates to the App Store edition are delivered by the App Store.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, design, text, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you no rights other than the license described above.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TinyFolder (Sergei Filkov) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Georgia will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence grant you additional rights or require a different forum.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
